These Terms govern your use of the website at unbuilthq.com ("the Site") and any informal interactions with UnbuiltHQ ("UnbuiltHQ", "we", "us") that take place before a written engagement is signed. By using the Site you agree to these Terms.
Important. Paid engagements with UnbuiltHQ — anything where we build software, run an integration, or otherwise deliver work for you — are governed by a separate written agreement signed by both parties. These Terms do not replace, modify, or override that agreement. Where the two conflict, the signed engagement agreement wins.
1. About us
UnbuiltHQ is a software studio based at Brookeside Villa, Modomo Ede Road, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. You can reach us at khaleel@unbuilthq.com.
2. Use of the Site
You may use the Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its server, or any connected system.
- Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
- Scrape, harvest, or otherwise extract data from the Site in bulk without our written permission.
- Use the Site to send unsolicited communications.
- Impersonate UnbuiltHQ or any other person or entity.
3. Intellectual property
The Site — including its design, code, copy, logo, and any other content we have created — is owned by UnbuiltHQ or our licensors. You may view and share links to the Site for personal or business reference. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or redistribute the content of the Site without our prior written consent.
Logos, screenshots, and stack badges that refer to third-party products and platforms remain the property of their respective owners.
4. Communications and enquiries
If you contact us through the Site, by email, or by booking a call, you give us permission to reply through the same channel. We try to reply to every enquiry within one business day, but we don't guarantee a response, an engagement, or any particular outcome.
Don't send us confidential information until a written agreement (an NDA or engagement agreement) is in place. We'll always tell you when we're ready to receive that kind of material.
5. No professional advice
The Site contains general information about how we work and the kinds of problems we solve. It is not legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice. Any recommendations specific to your situation will only ever come through a paid engagement.
6. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to third-party websites, products, or services. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of those sites. Linking does not imply endorsement, partnership, or affiliation unless we expressly say so.
7. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We make no warranty that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all such warranties.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UnbuiltHQ and its principals, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any direct damages arising from your use of the Site will not exceed one hundred United States dollars (US$100).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — including liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold UnbuiltHQ harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy and our Data Deletion instructions. By using the Site you acknowledge that you have read and understood both.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the current version. Continued use of the Site after we post changes means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Osun State, Nigeria — unless the dispute arises in the course of a signed engagement, in which case the dispute-resolution clauses of that engagement apply.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. We will replace any invalid provision with one that most closely reflects our original intent.
